The banshee comb is a legendary Irish folklore, a comb belonging to the banshee, a female spirit whose wail foretells a death. It is a warning, as picking up the comb can invoke the banshee's wrath, causing her to shriek and pursue the finder to their home, demanding the comb's return. The comb itself is often depicted as her most prized possession, and the act of taking it is said to invite misfortune and danger from the otherworldly realm.

Due to the nature of the printing process there may be small variations from print to print. This is very much one reason why hand printed linocuts are special. Each is unique
